About
My name is Catarina Jessica, or CJ for short.
I grew up with a father who would remind me constantly to Be Myself. I didn't realise it at the time, but it planted a seed. I didn't know who I was, so how could I be Myself? That thought lingered and over time turned into a question I have been obsessed with answering over the past 10 years.

Who am I?

My Story
Over the last 10 years, I’ve been following one question:
Who am I?
I had lived the first 36 years of my life for everyone else. But there was a moment when it all came crashing down. I have tried to trace the origin point of my midlife "crisis" although I prefer awakening, convinced there was one, when in reality I think its something all of us land at regardless of our choices.

What I do remember is the moment the question resurfaced in earnest.
I was on maternity leave staring into the face of my little boy, knowing I was deeply unhappy. I was contemplating what I wanted to teach him, what my role as a mother was in his life. It made me realise that what I wanted for him, for his life, was to be feel free, to go on an adventure where he finds out who he is along the way. I wanted to teach him that life really is just a collection of stories and experiences that show us who we are.
By our responses, our reactions, the choices we make, why we chose one path and not another.
And that was when my dad's voice resurfaced:
"Be yourself."
And then the question, But Who Am I?
Finding that answer has taken me on an epic Quest.
That ques(tion) took me through sexuality, philosophy, eros, psychology, anthropology, storytelling, and poetry.
It took me to changing countries, changing jobs, embarking on a new career, separation, dating for my first time in my late thirties, finding new friends, writing a book and a new love.
It took me into my own body, my relationships, my desires, my shame, my patterns, my power, and the places where I had learned to perform instead of feel.
The point is, that the idea of Exploring Consciously changed how I viewed myself, my relationship to my experiences, to my world and my existence. It changed how I understand pain, power, pleasure, permission, presence.
Its become a a way of tracing what it means to feel, want, ache, choose, and come back to myself.

Since then, I’ve become an ICF accredited coach, Master NLP Practitioner, and facilitator with a background in emotional intelligence, self-leadership, Conscious Kink, Communication, storytelling, and transformational coaching. With particular interest in self-inquiry, relational and erotic intelligence, AI, and embodied self-trust.

I love to curate spaces for authentic homely conversation, respectful exploration, good questions, consent, humour, nuance, and the occasional deliciously awkward truth. I teach, facilitate, and coach people to become more fluent in their own desire, more open in their relationships, and more at home in their bodies.

In these experiences we embark on an inner adventure and get curious about:
-
What do you actually want?
-
What helps you feel safe enough to want it?
-
Where does permission play a role in your desire?
-
What is your relationship to power?
-
How do you work with your pain?
-
What do you perform because you think you should?
-
What does your body know before your mind has language for it?
-
And, what happens when power, pleasure, shame, curiosity, and truth enter the same moment?

My work really connects with people who love to step into challenge, who want to leave the drama behind, who want to find balance between feeling, thinking and doing and are curious about life and self-discovery in general.
